A MICHELLE DIVINE SUMMER: The World is Opening and We're Making a Splash!
We can all agree this past year has been a heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride that we could not wait to get off of! With vaccines making it's way around the globe and COVID19 cases decreasing we are all hopeful and biting our nails with intense excitement to enjoy some summer fun and get back to some type of normalcy. And for a lot us that means- finally getting dressed and serving up some scorching hot looks!
Like many industries, the fashion industry was turned upside down...suits were traded for pajama sets and loungewear and stilettos for comfy house shoes. We've witnessed many major brands and fashion houses suffer and some even completely dismantled. But for the fashion brands that were lucky to weather the storm we were all forced to revisit the drawing board and tap into our creativity of fresh designs and more importantly connect with our customers and the world around us in a new way. Almost reminiscent of the outbreak of the Spanish Flu in 1918 and its effect on fashion. Spring and summer of 2021 seems to be birthing in a new wave of simple yet captivating styles along with a widespread appreciation of plus size and curvy models. Can we say yes to body positivity?!
Michelle Divine like many other brands have gone through ups and downs; and with being a small new brand on the scene we were met some extremely difficult lows. But with the help of some loyal MD Gems, new customers and a sheer determination to tell our fashion no matter what, we were able to stay afloat in time to render to new looks!
This summer we are providing our customers with a range of ready-to-wear from sexy and sultry swimwear perfect for finally going on that vacation you have been waiting for and our classic MD monogrammed swimwear collection perfect for just about anything from the poolside to the beachfront. We have also added some eye catching garments with bright colors and flirty and feminine silhouettes along with some classic must haves.
While we are now committing to adding new ready-to-wear pieces every other week we are also behind the scene working on our newly highly anticipated MD Gold S/S2022 collection "Forbidden Romance" set to debut Sept 18, 2021 via the brand's Instagram Live. Forbidden Romance is the brand's second exclusive Made-to-Measure collection designed by our lead designer and CEO Rhonda Michelle. Inspired by her new lease on life and love- from romance, friendship, sisterhood and self love. Rhonda incorporated a whimsical color palette with soft delicate fabrics of silks and lace. Although a lot more light and airy compared to her first collection Minimalist Luxe in 2016, Rhonda still maintains her signature silhouettes that are feminine and elegant yet exemplifying strength.
