In-House Seamstress/ Pattern-Maker

  • Located in NY/ NJ area preferred
  • Responsible for making patterns and sample making of MD Gold Collection and some RTW designs 
  • Responsible for constructing bespoke garment orders
  • Responsible for making alterations
  • Must have serger/ sewing machine all additional material (thread, fabric etc.) will be provided and/or reimbursed

Requirements:

  • Serger /sewing machine required
  • Garment construction and pattern-making knowledge in women, menswear and children's clothing required
  • Beading, embellishing, patchwork a plus
  • High School or Equivalent preferred (Degree in fashion design a plus)
  • 2-3 years sewing/ garment experience preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to grasp new concepts & assignments
  • Ability to complete projects by appointed deadlines
  • Ability to do fittings and alterations
  • Organizational and ability to multi-task
  • Work must be completed in a clean, smoke and pet free environment for quality control purposes
  • Great communication skills
  • Proficient in E-mails and Google Docs

Social Media Manager Intern

Michelle Divine Boutique is searching for a creative, strategic and smart social media manager who has a passion for fashion to help us grow our presence on all social media platforms (i.e Instragram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Youtube etc.). The ideal candidate will have experience in building and managing a large social media presence along with an enjoyment for engaging with our audience. They would understand and have interest in fashion trends.

  • Salary: unpaid intern (however there will be a commission based bonus) + college credit + travel & food allowance for company events & photoshoots

Key Responsibilities
  • Must post a minimum of 3 times daily on all social media platforms
  • Reporting to: Manager/ Company Owner
  • Contribute to daily social media efforts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc) 
  • Assist with writing clear and compelling product descriptions for the Michelle Divine Boutique e-commerce site, paying close attention to brand voice
  •  Brainstorm and create original content for Instagram stories and IGTV
  •  Help oversee community management and engagement
  •  Manage promotion for events
  • Capture content at future in-person events (adhering to Covid19 restrictions)
  •  Assist with website updates as needed Requirements
  •  Impeccable organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  •  Willingness to learn, collaborate, and pitch in where needed
  •  Deep interest in fashion, luxury lifestyle
  •  Innate sense of aesthetic and ability to present across mediums • Strong written and verbal skills
  •  Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to business changes
  •  Ability to navigate digital platforms and tools with ease

 Qualifications:

  •  Enrolled in college or university (to obtain college credit)
  •  HS Senior or junior year standing
  •  Social Media Management: 1 year (Preferred)
  •  Social Media Marketing: 1 year (Preferred)
  •  Blogging / Vlogging: 1 year (Preferred)
  •  Photography / Videography / Styling / Photoshop
